1. Nationality and Residency
- Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
- Residency: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
- Proof of Domicile: Applicants must upload a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
2. Educational Qualifications
- Diploma Requirement: Candidates must possess a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institute recognized by AICTE.
- Course Type: The diploma must be from a regular course; diplomas obtained through distance mode will not be considered.
- Documentation: All semester/year mark sheets and the final pass certificate must be uploaded.
3. Age Limits (as of 01-01-2026)
- General Category: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years.
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST: Relaxable by 5 years (up to 45 years).
- OBC/MOBC: Relaxable by 3 years (up to 43 years).
- PwBD: Relaxable by 10 years regardless of category.
- Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age is 42 years for Unreserved category, with further relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC.
4. Physical and Family Norms
- Health: Candidates must be in sound bodily health and prepared to undergo a medical examination if selected.
- Small Family Norms: Candidates must submit a declaration (Form-A) regarding the “Small Family Norms” at the time of application.
5. Category-Specific Criteria
- PwBD: To claim reservation, candidates must have a benchmark disability of 40% or more and provide a certificate from a competent authority.
- Government Employees: Those in regular service with the Government of Assam must upload a certificate or a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) if seeking pay protection or service continuation.
