About BBCI

Established by the Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Society Trust, the Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) stands as a tribute to the legacy of its namesake—a distinguished Assamese physician, philanthropist, and freedom fighter. Though the vision for the hospital was conceived in 1958 under the leadership of Founder President Debendra Nath Sarma and Founder Secretary Dr. Kanak Chandra Borooah, it officially opened its doors in November 1973.

1. Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria

  • Assistant (Project)
    • Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University with 50% marks.
    • Essential Experience: Minimum 5 years of work experience in Central / State Government / PSU / Autonomous bodies / Private Organizations in the field of HRD / Purchase / Stores / Accounts / Establishment & relevant fields.
    • Preferences: Candidates with knowledge of Government orders, rules, regulations, procedures, and computer applications are preferred.
    • Age Limit: 33 years (relaxable by 5 years for in-service candidates of TMC).
  • Upper Division Clerk (Project)
    • Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University with 50% marks.
    • Essential Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in Central / State Government / PSU / Autonomous bodies / Private Organizations in the field of HRD / Purchase / Stores / Accounts / Establishment & relevant fields.
    • Preferences: Candidates with knowledge of Government orders, rules, regulations, procedures, and computer applications are preferred.
    • Age Limit: 27 years (relaxable by 5 years for in-service candidates of TMC).
  • Lower Division Clerk (Project)
    • Qualification: Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University, plus a 6-month or 1-year Diploma in Computer Applications.
    • Desirable Experience: Preference given to candidates with experience in the field of HRD / Purchase / Stores / Accounts / Establishment & relevant fields.
    • Age Limit: 26 years (relaxable by 5 years for in-service candidates of TMC).
  • Technician ‘C’ (Transfusion Medicine) (Project)
    • Qualification: 10+2 in Science alongside a 6-month certificate course or a 1-year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a reputed institute.
    • Essential Experience: 02 years of experience in the relevant field.
    • Age Limit: 29 years (relaxable by 5 years for in-service candidates of TMC).

2. Selection & Examination Process

3. General Recruitment Conditions

  • Initial Screening: Candidates will be initially screened based on their qualifications and experience before being called for the written test, skill test, or interview. Mere fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee a call letter.
