Name of the Post: Chief Accounts Officer & Chief Engineer
Number of Vacancies: 2
Scale of Pay: Because these roles are meant for retired government officers, the remuneration is calculated based on their previous service using the following formula:
- Last Pay and Allowances Drawn (as they would have been at present) minus Pension.

Other Criteria of APHCL Recruitment 2026
1. Chief Accounts Officer
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Must be a retired officer of the rank of Senior Financial Adviser (or equivalent) from the Assam Finance Service.
- Preferred Experience: Past service experience in the Assam Accounts Service is considered an added advantage.
2. Chief Engineer (Contractual)
- Age Limit: Must be below 65 years of age as of January 1, 2026.
- Essential Qualification: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
- Professional Status: Must be a retired Government Engineer of the rank of Additional Chief Engineer (Civil), APWD or above, with experience in the building wing.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of 20 years of experience in the planning, execution, supervision, and management of civil engineering works, specifically in housing and large infrastructure projects.
- Other Criteria: The applicant must be medically fit and must not have been subjected to any disciplinary or vigilance proceedings during their service or after retirement.
Both positions state that the remuneration will be decided on the basis of the last pay and allowances drawn minus the pension, as per government rules.
