Constituted under Section 25 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kamrup Metro acts as the apex planning, coordinating, and implementing body for the hazard-prone metropolitan district. Chaired by the District Commissioner, it formulates the District Disaster Management Plan to manage challenges like urban flash floods and landslides. It holds emergency powers to direct line departments, review preparedness, and organize specialized rescue training.

Scale of Pay / Remuneration: Instead of a traditional pay scale, this is a contractual role with a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 28,500/-. This amount is broken down as follows:

  • Remuneration: Rs. 22,500/-
  • Mobility Allowance: Rs. 5,000/-
  • Communication Charges: Rs. 1,000/- (Note: It also includes an annual performance-aligned increment of up to 5% subject to a successful review.)

1. Eligibility Criteria
  • Educational Qualification: You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science or with Statistics, Geography, Environmental Science, or Geology as a subject, OR a diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture from a recognized University / Institution.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet usage, and emails is required.
  • Preferred Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates who hold a BCA or an equivalent degree/course.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years old as of January 1, 2026.
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
2. Mode of Selection (100 Marks Total)

The final selection will be based on a combined score from your academic background, a written test, a computer test, and an interview, broken down as follows:

  • Graduation Percentage Weightage: Max 30 marks
  • Written Examination: Max 40 marks
  • Knowledge of Computer: Max 20 marks (Note: 5 out of these 20 marks are specifically earmarked as preference marks for having a BCA or equivalent qualification).
  • Viva-Voce / Oral Test: Max 10 marks.

Note: Only candidates whose applications are accepted will be called for the written examination. Shortlisting for the computer test and viva-voce will be based on written exam performance.

4. Important Instructions During Submission
  • Percentage Calculation: You will need to enter your percentage for the required examinations. If your institution uses CGPA or another grading system, you must convert it to an equivalent percentage based on your university/board rules before entering it.

Acknowledgement Receipt: Once you successfully submit the form, the system will generate an Acknowledgement Receipt with a Registration Number. Print this out and keep it safe, as you will be required to bring a copy of this receipt along with your Admit Card to the written examination.
