Eligibility Criteria:
- Prosumer Status: The applicant must be a “Prosumer”. A Prosumer is defined as someone who consumes electricity from the grid and can also inject electricity back into the grid for the distribution licensee (APDCL) using the same point of supply.
- Employment Restriction: The candidate must not have been employed by APDCL or any of its agencies, in any capacity, for a period of 3 (three) years prior to the date of appointment.
- Antecedents and Dues: The applicant must have good antecedents. Additionally, they must not have any outstanding electricity dues or pending cases with APDCL at the time of appointment.
- Language Skills: It is desirable for the candidate to be well conversant with the official language of the state.
- Age Limit: No member is allowed to hold the office after reaching the age of 70 (Seventy) years.
Disqualifications: A person shall not be appointed if they stand disqualified due to any of the following reasons:
- Having been adjudged an insolvent.
- Having been convicted of an offence that involves moral turpitude in the opinion of APDCL.
- Becoming physically or mentally incapable of acting as a member.
- Acquiring financial or other interests that are likely to prejudicially affect their functions as a representative.
- Abusing their position to render their continuance in office prejudicial to public interest.
- Being guilty of proved misbehavior.

- Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure I) in hard copy only. Applications not submitted as per the format will be rejected.
- If false information is detected at any stage, the candidature will be rejected forthwith.
- Bringing influence at any stage of the selection process will immediately disqualify the candidate.
