About Purabi Diary
Purabi is the flagship brand of the West Assam Milk Producers’ Co-operative Union Ltd. (WAMUL) and stands as the largest and most prominent dairy cooperative in Northeast India. Established in 1976 under the “Operation Flood” program of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), it was created to organize milk production and eliminate exploitative middlemen for local farmers. Today, Purabi is a household name in Assam, known for its high-quality pasteurized milk, ghee, paneer, and curd.
