About BBCI
Established by the Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Society Trust, the Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) stands as a tribute to the legacy of its namesake—a distinguished Assamese physician, philanthropist, and freedom fighter. Though the vision for the hospital was conceived in 1958 under the leadership of Founder President Debendra Nath Sarma and Founder Secretary Dr. Kanak Chandra Borooah, it officially opened its doors in November 1973.

Educational & Technical Qualifications
- Essential: Intermediate or 12th pass from a recognized board.
- Essential Skill: A computer speed test of not less than 15,000 key depressions per hour.
- Mandatory Course: A one-year Certificate or Diploma Course in Computer Application.
- Desirable: A Graduate degree with Business Intelligence Tool / Data Management.
Experience & Age Limit
- Desirable Experience: 2 years of experience in EDP (Electronic Data Processing) work in government, autonomous, PSU, or any other recognized organization.
- Upper Age Limit: 30 years as of 21.07.2026 (relaxable for in-service candidates of TMC).
Selection Process & Modalites
- Selection Method: A Walk-in-Interview. However, in case there are a large number of candidates, a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Test will be conducted to shortlist candidates for the Interview / Skill Test.
- Document Verification: Candidates must bring a complete bio-data along with original testimonials and a set of self-attested photocopies relating to age, educational qualifications, experience, etc..
- NOC Requirement: Candidates serving under Central / State Government or a Public Authority must produce a permission letter/NOC from their employer.
How to Apply for BBCI Recruitment 2026
- Report for the Interview: You must physically attend the walk-in-interview on 21-July-2026 (Tuesday).
- Reporting Time: You must arrive at the venue at least half an hour early, by 09:30 AM at the latest (the interview process begins at 10:00 AM).
- Venue: Conference Room, 2nd Floor, OPD Building, Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Gopinath Nagar, Guwahati-781016.
What you need to bring:
- Bio-data: A complete, updated bio-data sheet.
- Original Documents: All original testimonials relating to your age, educational qualifications, computer applications course, and experience for verification.
- Photocopies: A complete set of self-attested photocopies of all your documents and certificates (these will be retained by the verification team).
- NOC (If applicable): If you are currently working under the Central/State Government or a Public Authority, you must bring a formal permission letter/No Objection Certificate from your current employer.
Note: If a large number of candidates show up, the institute will conduct a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) written test on-site to shortlist candidates for the final interview and computer skill test.
