2. General Selection & Shortlisting Process
- Initial Shortlisting: Applicants will be shortlisted by the Project Team based on their academic performance and prior experience. Only these shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
- Mode of Interview: Shortlisted candidates must attend an offline interview held at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat.
- Selection Weightage: Due weightage is given to academic performance and relevant experiences during final selection.
- Basic Skill Requirement: Candidates are required to have a working knowledge of computers for day-to-day work.
3. Important Rules & Eligibility Restrictions
- Result Awaited Candidates: Candidates who are currently awaiting their final results are not eligible to apply.
- Age Relaxation: The maximum age limit is calculated based on the closing date of the advertisement. Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women candidates as per Government of India and CSIR rules.

2. Tracking & Registration
- Registration Number: Once you successfully submit the online form, a Registration Number will be displayed on your computer screen.
- ⚠️ Important Note: This number will not be sent to your mobile phone or email. You must manually write it down or save it along with the Advertisement Number and Post Code for all future correspondence.
3. Post-Application Steps
- Download the Form: After submitting online, go to the “DOWNLOAD” section of the application portal and download your completed registration form.
- Print and Sign: Print this form out and sign it. You are required to submit this signed physical copy later at the time of your interview.
