General Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old as of the date of the advertisement (May 20, 2026). Age relaxation is admissible as per Government Rules.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must have knowledge of the official language of the state of Assam (Assamese).
- Employment Registration: The candidate’s name must be registered in the Employment Exchange of the State of Assam.
- Government Employees: Applicants already in Government Service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
Post-Specific Criteria
1. Driver (Contractual)
- Educational Qualification: Minimum HSLC passed.
- Professional Experience & License: Must possess a valid professional driving license to drive an LMV/Four-Wheeler vehicle for not less than the last 3 years issued by a competent authority. The driving license must be valid for 3 years.
- Selection Process: Skill Test (carrying 50% marks) followed by a Viva-Voce (carrying 50% marks).
2. Office Peon (Contractual)
- Educational Qualification: Minimum Class VIII passed.
- Disqualification Clause: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (HS) or above shall not be eligible to apply.
- Selection Process: Viva-Voce only (carrying 100% marks).

- Where to Submit: The filled-up application must be placed in a sealed envelope and dropped directly into the “Drop Box” located at the Office of the District Legal Services Authority, 1st Floor, District Judicial Court Building, Bongaigaon.
