1. Stages of the Recruitment Process
The recruitment process consists of the following sequential stages:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Physical Standards Test (PST).
- Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Trade Test.
- Document Verification (DV).
- Medical Examination (DME/RME).
2. Eligibility Criteria
A. Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)
- Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 years (Candidates must be born between 02/01/1999 and 01/01/2005).
- All Other Tradesmen & Pioneer Wing: 18 to 23 years (Candidates must be born between 02/01/2003 and 01/01/2008).
- Relaxations: Upper age limit relaxations apply for specific categories, such as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
B. Educational & Technical Qualifications (as on 01/01/2026)

C. Physical Standards (PST)
- Height: Minimum 170 cm for males and 157 cm for females. (Relaxations apply for ST candidates and residents of specific regions like the North Eastern States and Assam) .
- Chest (Male only): 80 cm unexpanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. (Relaxations apply for ST and regional candidates) .
D. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- For Technical & Tradesmen: Most male candidates must complete a 5 km race in 24 minutes; females must complete a 1.6 km race in 8.30 minutes.
- For Pioneer Wing: Male candidates must complete a 1.6 km race in 9 minutes.
3. Selection Criteria
- CBT Marks: Final selection is made on the basis of marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Minimum Qualifying Marks in CBT:
- Technical & Tradesmen: UR: 30%, EWS/OBC: 25%, All other categories: 20%.
- Pioneer Wing: UR: 35%, SC/ST/OBC/EWS: 33%.
- Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the CBT.
- Trade Test: This is qualifying in nature; candidates must score at least 20 out of 50 marks to qualify.

1. Application Window and Mode
- Mode of Submission: Applications must be submitted in ONLINE mode only; no other mode is allowed.
- Operational Dates: The application portal will be active from 20/04/2026 to 19/05/2026.

2. Step-by-Step Application Process
The process is divided into two main steps:
Step-I: Registration
- Personal Details: Enter your personal and contact details, including a valid personal email ID and mobile number.
- Login Credentials: Upon completing registration, you will receive a Login ID (Application Sequence Number) and Password on your registered email.
Step-II: Completion of Application
- Re-login: Log out and log in again using the credentials provided in Step-I.
- Detailed Information: Select your category and fill in personal, address, qualification, and achievement details.
- Post Selection: Select the specific post/trade you are applying for.
- Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
- Fee Payment: Pay the examination fee (if applicable) through online modes such as BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Credit/Debit cards.
3. Application Fees
- Amount: Rs. 100/- for male candidates of General, EWS, and OBC categories.
- Exemptions: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Female (all categories), and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the fee.
4. Important Document Specifications
- Photograph: Must be a recent colored passport-size photo (35mm x 45mm), 50-100 KB in size, with the date the photo was taken clearly printed on it.
- Signature: Must be on white paper with a black ink pen, 50-100 KB in size.
- Certificates: Other documents should be between 100-500 KB in JPG/JPEG/PNG/PDF format.
5. Critical Instructions
- Number of Applications: A candidate is allowed to apply for one post in each category (one for Technical & Tradesmen and one for Pioneer).
- No Modifications: Once the application is submitted, no changes, corrections, or modifications will be allowed under any circumstances.
- Printout: Candidates should take a printout of the successfully submitted application form for their own records.
