About Assam Public Service Commission (APSC)
The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is the premier constitutional body responsible for recruiting candidates for various civil service positions within the state government of Assam. Other Criteria of Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Recruitment 2026
1. Nationality and Inhabitancy
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The candidate must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
2. Age Requirements
- Minimum Age: 21 years.
- Maximum Age: 38 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Age Relaxation:
- 5 years for SC/STP/STH candidates (up to 43 years).
- 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates (up to 41 years).
- 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) regardless of category.
3. Educational Qualification
- The candidate must hold a Degree from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government.
- Candidates must possess this qualification on the date they submit their application.
4. Language and Registration
- Language: Candidates should be able to speak Assamese or other official/associate official languages of the State, or any tribal language of the State.
- Employment Exchange: Candidates must be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.
5. Other Mandates
- Small Family Norms: Candidates must submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of application.
- Physical Limitations: For PwBD candidates requiring a scribe, specific medical certificates or undertakings must be provided based on the nature of the disability.

Application Platform: Candidates must apply online through the APSC Recruitment website at https://apscrecruitment.in. No other mode of application is accepted.
One Time Registration (OTR): If you have not registered before, you must complete the OTR process by clicking ‘Register Here’ and providing basic details. It is advised to use a valid and active email address and mobile number.
Application Timeline: Online applications can be submitted from 12:00 Noon on April 13, 2026, to May 3, 2026, until 5:00 PM. The last date for the payment of fees is May 5, 2026, until 5:00 PM.
Required Documents (PDF format, max 4MB each):
- Age proof (Class 10th/12th Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet).
- Graduation Degree certificate and all semester marksheets in a single PDF.
- Valid Employment Exchange Registration Card/PRC/Caste Certificate (as proof of being an original inhabitant of Assam).
- Small Family Norms declaration in Form-A.
- Recent photograph and signature (size: 50 KB–200 KB).
- Caste, PwBD, or BPL certificates, if applicable.
